Welcome friends! Come on in and check out my Transitional Spring Decor! I’m excited to share my Spring and Easter decor with you all.
I am so happy to collaborate with a wonderful group of bloggers sharing our spring home tours. There is so much talent and inspiration so I hope you will join our blog hop. If you are coming over from Ashlee’s blog, Sweet Southern Oaks, welcome! I’m so happy to have you here!
At the bottom of this post, I’ll be directing you on to the next stop on our Spring Home Tour along with links to all six bloggers. I hope you will pop over to each to see the amazing spring inspiration they are offering.
Welcome to my Transitional Spring Home Tour 2020!
For those of you who don’t know me, I live in Fairview, a suburb about 45 min. north of Dallas, Texas. We moved here a little over two years ago from Rye, NY.
Our area is pretty rural. In fact, we have a cow pasture and ranch right behind our home and love that the homes here are pretty spread out and not right on top of each other. Though it is extremely hot here in the summer, it is beautiful during the spring. I love spending time outdoors and spring is my favorite season.
We’ll be walking through each of the main living areas of my home and I’ll give a glimpse into how I styled each for Spring and Easter. Let’s start at the front door shall we?
Spring Front Porch
The first stop on my Spring Home Tour is our spring front porch. This area sets the tone for whats to come inside.
I love our double doors and the symmetry they bring to the space. Two pastel colored Easter Egg wreaths adorn the front doors. My white outdoor lanterns are here year round, along with my white urn planters. I plan to update the planters with boxwood topiaries in a few weeks, but for now they still hold my faux juniper trees. The cute floral doormat is perfect for spring time. I layered it over a gray striped rug.
To the left of the front doors is a small sitting area. I placed a lattice-back bench and a garden stool there along with a few lemon trees, a cherry blossom wreath, and a large lantern.
Spring Entryway
In the entryway, I dressed my small narrow entryway table for spring using my favorite color combination- blush and blue! I’m crushing on all white decor which is prevalent in my home right now- like these ginger jars! But it’s hard for me to completely break up with my signature blue and white ginger jars. I’ve just been careful about sprinkling them in small doses around the house. I LOVE pink, so adding blush tones through faux florals is a simple way to bring in pink for spring. My favorite faux florals for spring are cherry blossom stems. Shop my favorite ones below!
Spring Dining Room
The entryway is open to the dining room which is immediately to the right when you walk in the front door. The dining room got a few spring touches like tulips and cherry blossoms, but I also added in some Easter decor.
I added a pretty blue and white chinoiserie vase in the corner of the dining room on a small gold cocktail table. The vase goes so well with my chinoiserie wall panels. I get so many compliments on these panels anytime someone walks in our home. They are one of the first views as you enter the house.
Easter Tablescape
I love creating a beautiful tablescape in the dining room each season. For our Easter table, I created a lovely place setting by layering my white scalloped dinnerware on a silver scalloped charger. Inside the bowl, I placed a single faux tulip. These tulips are my favorite because they look and feel so real.
To personalize each place setting, I used a Sharpie to write names on a white egg. The egg was placed on a bed of moss inside a vintage glass egg cup.
The flatware I’m using is passed down from my great-grandmother. I love bringing them out during the holidays.
I added a more modern touch to the place settings with my silver leopard print wine glasses. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m obsessed with all things leopard print and these glasses are some of my favorite.
Down the center of the table I placed a white table runner. My tip to get max use of your table runner is to make sure it can serve double duty. This one has metallic gold Christmas trees on the other side. I use it year round though since the backside is plain white.
Symmetry is huge in my home and I use it in majority of my designs. On this table, I used two white vases filled with faux tulips to strike that symmetrical balance I desire. A simple white ceramic bunny holding a gold egg in the center grounds the table and offers a whimsical and modern vibe.
Just behind the table, on the buffet cabinet, I placed three pink glass eggs and more white ceramic bunnies in front of the mirror. A cherry blossom wreath hangs on the mirror with a Happy Easter banner.
The Bar Cart
The beautiful silver bar cart is in the corner of the room and holds a variety of extra dishes, wine glasses, and candlesticks. A single cherry blossom stem adds a touch of spring placed inside the wine decanter.
Living Room
Just beyond the entryway and dining room is the living room. The place we spend majority of our time. I loved the bright white and airy look I had in here for winter, so I decided to keep that same feel for spring.
The first thing I do when decorating for a new season is find a piece of art to display on the Samsung Frame TV. I found these images of Easter Lillies and thought they were fitting. Small faux gardenia trees and egg topiaries flank the mantle and I draped a Happy Easter banner and pastel egg banner across the front.
I added a few spring touches like ceramic bunny candy bowls on the coffee table and etched glass eggs on the bookshelves. White vases, bowls and candle holders along with neutral toned coffee table books were sprinkled throughout the shelves and side tables. Faux florals in blush and white were placed throughout. My favorite new piece is this adorable white box of “forever roses” that are real and last up to a year or more. I had the box personalized with our last name. Isn’t it so cute? The roses smell so good too!
The console table in the living room is decked out in white coral. I love white coral pieces and have been collecting them recently. These will be great all summer too. This is just a peak into what’s to come next season!
Kitchen
The kitchen is open to the living room. I brought in lots of white and gold and small touches of blue and blush to the kitchen.
The tray in the center of the island holds a small vignette of white textured ginger jars and pink and white peonies. A small pink ceramic basket holds Easter candy and cute bunny paper plates and napkins are ready for Easter treats.
Beyond the island, on the range hood, I draped a gold metal Happy Easter Banner and a gold glittered Easter Egg wreath.
Even our coffee station got some Easter and spring love! I filled a cute egg-shaped cookie jar with my K-Cups and draped a pastel egg garland in the space. Small bunny salt and pepper shakers and a bunny shaped cutting board is on display as well.
I really enjoy switching up the decor on my kitchen shelves! For spring, they are decorated with some of my favorite blue and white pieces and a few ceramic bunnies from my collection.
Breakfast Nook
Unlike the formal dining room I showed you above, the breakfast nook is used more often and I tend to go a bit more casual in here. One of my favorite ways to make an impact in this space is to use double ginger jars (I’m telling you – I have a thing for symmetry!) I filled these ginger jars with beautiful cherry blossom stems. I love how they make the table look so fresh and cheery. In between the ginger jars I placed a pierced bowl filled with pink, white, and gold Easter Eggs.
The adorable bunny cotton tails on the back of the chairs are so whimsical and fun. These are no longer available, but I bet they would be super easy to make on your own.
I kept the color palette neutral with a beige table runner and a beige bunny silhouette banner hanging in the window. Each plate was topped with adorable bunny ear napkin rings holding a white paper napkin.

Hi Shannon, your home is absolutely beautiful! I am loving following your posts, so may fabulous ideas, you are very gifted.:) I was wondering if you could help me find a certain vase I saw above in your living room pictures. It is white and is shown on your coffee table sitting on books with the forever flowers. I really like it but have been unable to find a link for it. Thank you so much for your help. I am excited to start refreshing some of my rooms.
