Welcome to my Rust and Blue Fall Home Tour. As you know my home is full of blue and white decor year round and I love the look. Each season I try to throw in a new hue for a fun pop of color. This year’s hue, rust, invokes warmth and a cozy feel that seems to work with just about every aesthetic. It plays so nicely with blue and white as well.
Fall Entryway
I love displaying some of my ginger jars in the entryway. This small entryway table is easy to style and always looks great with a large floral arrangement front and center. Faux fall florals and a velvet pumpkin is all it needed for a fall touch.
Fall Living Room
Loving the pops of fall color in the living room. The art I choose each season to display on the Samsung Frame TV usually sets the mood and feel for the room. For fall I chose this lovely landscape piece by Claude Monet called “The Thaw at Vetheuil” It includes beautiful shades of blue and rust.
The tall white vases flanking the mantle hold lovely natural pampas grass stems cut from the trees in my neighborhood. I added a group of small rust colored pumpkins and a few faux stems below the TV for a simplistic fall look.
I kept out a few of my traditional blue and white chinoiserie pieces, adding in some rust colored pumpkins and plants on the bookshelves and coffee table. The blue and white complements the rust florals so well.
The living room console table also got a pop of rust. One single stem of fall leaves in a blue and white vase did the trick.
I always switch out my throw pillows seasonally and this time I went with cream and rust pillows on the couch and living room chairs. I used two large textured pillows on the ends for the couch and added in a lumbar pillow for dimension. Throw blankets are always a must and this one with subtle rust stripes looks great on the couch.
The navy chairs look great with rust. The cute “Thankful” lumbar pillow pairs well with the throw blanket draped on the arms of the chairs.
Fall Kitchen
I brought in pops of rust into the kitchen using faux florals. A cluster of blue and white vases filled with beautiful fall florals in varying rust tones sits in the center of the island atop a marble Lazy Susan.
Beyond the island, I placed a gorgeous pampas grass wreath on the range hood. My cute pumpkin bowls all lined up on the ledge of the hood looks so cute! I also hung a “Happy Fall” banner.
Flanking the stove are some pretty fall leaf stems in white vases. I added a vignette to the center of the range with a white ginger jar and small blue and white chinoiserie pumpkins.
I also switched out the kitchen runner for fall. This beautiful rust and blue washable runner is perfect in the space.
I really enjoy switching up the decor on my kitchen shelves! For fall, they are decorated with some of my favorite blue and white pieces and a few rust colored pumpkins mixed in.
Fall Breakfast Nook
I set a simple fall tablescape in the breakfast nook. First, I started with a rust and blue checkered table runner. For the centerpiece, I used a brass vase filled with faux stems and florals in shades of rust. I added white velvet pumpkins in several sizes around the vase and put in a few small rust ones as well. On either side of the centerpiece I placed brass candlesticks with white pillar candles.
