Today I’m sharing some quick and easy ways to create a sweet and festive Valentine’s Day for your loved ones. I love adding seasonal touches to my home and holidays are my favorite time to do just that.
When decorating for Valentine’s Day or any holiday I like to choose colors that go well in my home. In this case, I chose pink instead of red. Simply by adding touches of pink to my everyday decor, I was able to create a Valentine’s style I love.
The Front Porch
It is a gorgeous February in Dallas, so I spruced up the front porch a bit. I layered a cute doormat with a heart embossed on it and kept my white lanterns and juniper trees in place. On the doors I added two pink cherry blossom wreaths.

I finally got a bench for this little nook on the porch. It’s been bare for two years! I love the design on the bench! Pretty throw pillows and a cozy blanket is all it needed to be V-Day ready. The faux gardenias flanking the bench are there to stay. Love them!

The Entryway
Time to head inside! In the entryway, I switched out the white faux orchid stems for a few blush pink cherry blossom stems. I also moved my gold “Love” sculpture to the entryway table.

The Dining Room
I set up a Valentine Candy Bar on the buffet table in the dining room using my favorite apothecary jars. These jars are so versatile! When I’m not using them for candy, I use them in my bathroom to hold bath salts, sponges and bath bombs. The candy is not only a special treat for your family, but it doubles as decor!

A cute XOXO banner strung across the mirror is a simple touch. It adds to the festive candy display for Valentine’s Day.

I kept the table centerpiece simple with a single ginger jar filled with pink cherry blossoms. I layered a velvet blush table runner under the faux fur pelt rug that I used in my winter decor.

The bar cart got a touch of pink too! A nice bottle of red and two wine glasses are all ready for a romantic evening on Feb. 14 after the kids are in bed!

The Living Room
The living room got a few touches of pink for Valentine’s Day. I added a couple of gorgeous faux cherry blossom stems to the large ginger jar on the coffee table. Everything else stayed white which I think is a beautiful contrast. I moved some of the pillows around from the couch to the chairs. The addition of pretty pink floral throw pillows bring a romantic vibe to the space. Pink faux fur blankets help to soften the look and cozy up the space.

A white puffy heart garland was strung across the mantle. I wish it was still in stock because it’s so cute! The art on the TV was switched to a gorgeous abstract piece with pops of pink. I love it! And speaking of love, aren’t the gardenia topiaries flanking the TV just gorgeous? I think they’ll stay put through spring.

The gold bookcases were all decked with white decor for winter. I simply added a touch of pink to each using a pink heart candle and a small vessel of peonies.

Kitchen
The kitchen got a few touches of pink as well. I added a large pink ginger jar to the white tray in the center of the island. Long stem white cherry blossoms were placed inside. My favorite candle and a cute metal “love” sign finished the countertop vignette.

Faux peony bud vases were sprinkled in a few places on the countertop. I displayed a pretty metal ring wreath in front of the white cutting boards leaning against the wall. A darling cake stand with pierced heart trim holds my olive oil and pink salt. I displayed a pierced heart platter in the corner of the counter along with a small bowl of valentine candy.

A heart shaped wreath with a cute pink tassel was hung behind the stove. On the hood, I strung a strand of pink tulle garland.

The coffee station and the kitchen shelve also got a touch of pink!

The Breakfast Nook
The breakfast nook table was set with a fun Valentine tablescape. I used a pink ruffled runner with white hearts down the center of the table. A stack of pink and white plates was topped with the cutest gold heart ring dish. I ran some of my favorite Ginger Jars down the center of the table. The two smaller ones were filled with the best white and pink faux peonies. A cute gold metal “LOVE” banner was strung across the windows to set the Valentine scene. It is sold out but here is a similar one written in Spanish. I love how this simple tablescape came together.

I switched out the chairs in the breakfast nook and actually love these in here. Now I’m on a hunt to potentially to replace the dining room chairs. What do you think?

The Powder Room
I don’t usually decorate the bathroom for holidays. I may throw in a holiday themed hand towel and a scented candle, but that’s usually the extent. However, this cute heart shaped bathmat had me swooning. It has the message “LOVE YOURSELF” written on it and it gave me the inspiration to bring Valentine decor into the powder room. I bought it last year and was so happy to see it was still available! It is adorable and would be perfect in a little girls bathroom too. Last year I used it in the Master Bath beside the soaking tub. I also added a gorgeous ginger jar on the stool in the corner. I filled it with blush cherry blossom stems. A cute decorative hand towel and a pink hand soap set was added to the powder room for an additional dose of pink.

Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed these Valentine decorating tips and got some fun ideas to decorate your home for this sweet holiday. Your home doesn’t have to look like the aisle at a craft store! A few pink touches along with a few tasteful Valentine specific pieces go a long way in creating a festive space for this time of year.

[…] This view in my entryway got a lot of love last February. The console table is styled for Valentine’s Day. I totally adore the golden “LOVE” sculpture but sadly it is no longer available. You can see the rest of my Valentine Home Tour here. […]
